In the Community

Chris believes that being a lawyer is a privilege that comes with responsibility.  He gives back to his community primarily by providing pro bono legal services through the Volunteer Legal Services of Central Texas.  Chris has been recognized several times for his work:

  • 2013, 2014, 2015:  Invited to State Bar of Texas Pro Bono College, which recognizes attorneys who have provided more than 75 hours of pro bono service each year

  • 2003, 2004, 2010, 2013:  Recognized with the Volunteer Legal Services of Central Texas Covington award for pro bono service to the community

  • August 2003:  Highlighted in Austin Bar Association's "Austin Lawyer" inaugural article on attorney pro bono service

  • 1991:  Obtained the then-highest jury verdict in a court-appointed civil rights case in the Eastern District of Missouri
